Institute of Real Estate Management IREM
The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) is an international organisation that represents the interests of real estate managers in both the commercial and multifamily property sectors. It was founded in 1933 to set best practice standards in real estate management.
The organisation’s Income/Expense Analysis Reports are used as operational benchmarks that allow managers to compare their data with other properties of the same building type and within a similar geographic area.
IREM offers a selection of tools, courses, learning programmes and certifications for its members. For individuals, these include Certified Property Manager (CPM), Accredited Commercial Manager (ACoM) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM). Companies can pursue Accredited Management Organization (AMO) certifications and properties are eligible for IREM Certified Sustainable Property (CSP) certifications.
